The "Mainland" problem, the solution
So people in HK are getting all hot and bothered about the sheer number of vistors coming from the PRC either as tourists, parallel goods traders, school children or hospital bed users.
Part of the problem is a space issue, HK doesn't have a lot of space. The PRC on the other hand has loads of space.
Why doesn't the PRC government and the HK government come up with an agreement whereby HK can set up an economic region, something like a Special Administrative Zone or Region of the HKSAR in the PRC, but I'm thinking something like HKSAZHKSARPRC?
It would have the same laws and taxes as HK and would be run by HK owners (i.e. the 8 oligarchs). I'm talking about schools, shops, sites, etc. They could even build their own LKF!! All taxes collected in this HKSAZHKSARPRC would go back to the HK government, after the usual handouts to the relevant oligarchs, PRC officials, triads, etc.
This way the visitors from the Mainland get all the benefits of visiting HK, without HK getting overburdened with the number of visitors.
